Halfway gone, Halfway done

The scans are good.

Dr. West said that there was about 50 percent or so reduction, which is great. Of course, I was really hoping for 90-95 percent, but that's not exactly realistic, I guess. :-)

Also, I found out what he meant when he was discussing "four vs six" in terms of chemo. "One" represents an entire three week cycle. But when he was talking about four vs six, I thought he was just talking about four weeks of the cisplatin...ooops.

So that means six more weeks of chemo to go. I was a little bummed at first,, but honestly, I want more than 50 percent gone, so I am going to buck up, have a good attitute, and continue the battle.

Back into the breach....back into the breach....

Love you all -- mp

Shooting for the stars is always the way to go, that way when you hit the moon, you still rock. SO, 50% is awesome!!!! I am so proud of your spirit and I love you, no, I mean, I really, really LOVE you! (Why does that never get old with us? Probably because it is true).

Six weeks is long in the short term, but a whole lotta nothin' in the long term. You'll be done by Halloween! Finn and I will be over tomorrow with thai food and ice cream!

Half way gone, half way home. I'm frickin' ecstatic! I'm so proud of you. Wow you're one tough cookie. I'm havin' a Bud Light for you....well actually I'm having a Bud Light anyway, but it's going down a whole lot easier thinking about you...

These guys are stubborn - I'd say 50 percent is a serious accomplishment. Now they know you're not messing around and the rest are bound to head for the hills. Dana's right - 6 weeks is nothing in the grand scheme of things. So keep that chin up girl, you are doing fantastic! Love you. (p.s. maybe you should be a cancer fighting warlord for halloween - you wouldn't even have to dress up!)

Just think how much stronger you'll be fighting 50% of the total you were originally fighting! Corner it, give it the "one-two" and in 6 weeks you'll be doing the Ali Shuffle.

Hugs,
John
